My Godson, Lucas, turned ONE in August and to celebrate he had a cute dinosaur themed party. Here are the cupcakes and cake that I made for his special day.

So little Time

As I feel like I have been pressed for time and I haven't updated my blog in awhile, I'm just going to throw up a few pictures of cupcakes from the past couple months which include Thomas the Train cupcakes, Princess themed Cupcakes, Pinwheel Cupcakes and Honeymoon themed Cupcakes for a bridal shower.

My friend, Jamie, had a fun bug themed park party for her son's birthday who was turning the big, ONE. I made these cupcakes and a little smash cake for the occasion.

Spring is in the Air

A few weeks back I made cupcakes for a friend's afternoon get together. Although it wasn't quite Spring yet, it sure was starting to feel like it. Now it is officially Spring, so here's to all the wonderful things it brings (one of those being brightly colored cupcakes)!

Pink Caterpillar

Last weekend I had a job for a one year olds birthday party. Her mom wanted to do cupcakes that formed a caterpillar that would go with the cute caterpillar invitations that they sent out. This was a ton of fun to work on and it turned out super duper cute!

So I realized that it was already February and I never posted anything in December or January for that matter. I was swamped with lots of cupcakes, cake orders and weekends of leaving town while my poor little blog wasted away with the hope that I would return soon.

Nesting Themed Cupcakes

In between my weekly baking challenges, my latest cupcake job was for a baby shower that was doing a nesting themed shower. I can't take credit for the baby birds in a nest idea as it was found on the Internet but I did add my own speckled eggs as a new edition to the idea. I made all the decorations out of fondant so that they would remain somewhat soft to eat and toasted coconut to make a nice pleasant nest. The speckled eggs I splattered with diluted food coloring. Lots of fun!

The Incredible Reeces Cupcake

One day I got to thinking, "Hmm, I wonder if I could bake a Reece's peanut butter cup in the middle of a cupcake?" During the same week that I had this thought, my sister's boyfriend, Jason sent me a text asking, "Can you make cupcakes for me with Reece's peanut butter cups inside?" For some strange reason we both had the same brilliant idea! Jason's birthday was a couple weeks later so I decided to make these cupcakes not knowing if and how they would turn out. The cupcake was a fudge cake with peanut butter frosting and a Reece's baked in the middle. Lo and behold they turned out so yummy and were a complete hit, especially if you are a chocolate and peanut butter lover!

Candies and Colors

Last week I made cupcakes for my friend Kait's daughter's birthday. Her little one LOVES candies! So we thought it would be fun to do a sort of Willy Wonka theme for all the cupcakes. Bright colors and of course...Candy!

What could be better than Easter cupcakes...lots and lots of Easter cupcakes.

Oh Boy!

My friend Lesley and I threw a baby shower for our friend Jamie this past weekend. And of course I was in charge of cupcakes. I can't take credit for the concept as I got the idea from the book "Hello Cupcake" which has tons of unique ideas. But they were just so darn cute that I had to give it a whirl.

Mini Cupcakes!

When in Doubt...Mini! There are so many great minis. Mini chocolate chips, mini doll house furniture, mini poodles, miniskirts, mini post-it-notes and of course mini cupcakes! It is the perfect bite or two bites that won't leave you feeling guilty. So indulge, don't worry, it's mini.
